Jessica Simpson is another singer of the Britney-Aguilera generation. However, she has had less of a success than Britney and Christina (it is hard to sell and be know as much as those two pop frontrunners). She had her first album earlier than the other two (at just 14, a Christian album) but this album was not very successful. Her major label debut (Sweet Kisses) was released by Sony in 1999. Although at this point she was quite famous she became an uber celebrity when the MTV-produced reality show, Newlyweds, covered part of her life with her husband Nick Lachey.
