Diane Lane was born in New York. Both of her parents are in the entertainment business. At only 13 she started in George Roy Hill's A Little Romance and got a lot of attention for her fine acting in the film. Her next films, however, where not as succesful (to say it mildly) and her carreer included a lot of films but not that many applauded ones.
